A five year old child has a minor injury after being hit by a car and the driver has been ticketed for speeding.
The Syracuse police department received the call around 4:30 p.m. The report said a child had been struck by a car on the 700 block of East Laurel Street.
The child was taken to Upstate Hospital as a precaution to be treated for an abrasion.
Police say their investigation found a 2006 Ford Taurus being driven by 34 year old Christopher Larmondra of Syracuse had been driving along the street when the child ran into the path of vehicle.
Larmondra has been issued a ticket for speeding and will appear in Syracuse City Traffic Court at a later date.
