      Cicero family arrested after police uncover illegal marijuana-growing operation in their basement

      A Cicero family is facing charges after a drug sting uncovered a marijuana-growing operation in the basement of their home.

      Cicero Police investigated a home on Filisto Lane, owned by John L. Stahlbodt. Investigators say they pulled 18 adult marijuana plants, along with other marijuana mixtures, other possible illegal controlled substances, scales and lighting system.

      Police say there were two younger children, ages 14 and 12, in the home.

      John L. Stahlbodt was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child and growing cannabis by unlicensed person.

      18-year-old William L. Stahlbodt was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of marijuana and growing cannabis by unlicensed person.

      45-year-old Deborah Stahlbodt was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child and growing cannabis by an unlicensed person.

      All three were issued appearance tickets and are due back in court on September 18.
