Cincinnatus man accused of shooting dog that killed his chickens

A Cincinnatus man is accused of shooting a dog believed to have killed his chickens.

Cortland County Sheriffâ??s deputies say that after Jeffery P. Brown, 37, learned that a dog had killed his chickens on his property he took the dog into a field, tied it to a tree, then shot the dog.

Brown was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals. He was processed and released from the Sheriffâ??s Department with an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Cincinnatus Town Court on August 7.
