A Clay teenager accused of hitting a killing a Liverpool High School student has been indicted on multiple charges.

A grand jury indicted 19-year-old Aaron Sakran, of 4225 Inverrary Drive, on charges of manslaughter, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

He's accused of hitting 19-year-old Joseph Ozimek III, of 3802 Brompton Lane, on October 5. Ozimek was walking home along Route 57 after finishing his shift at McDonald's when he was killed. Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies say his body was thrown several feet and his shoes were found nearby. A Centro bus driver found Ozimek's body lying on the side of the road.

Deputies say Sakran, an OCC student, was at Wegman's on Oswego Road Wednesday morning and was driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring with a suspended license. Sakran's attorney has said his client thought he hit something like debris, but didn't realize it was a person until his father saw the damage to the car and told him he saw something on the news about the incident.
