Clayville woman arrested for DWI following two car crash

A Clayville woman was sent to the hospital and arrested for DWI following a two car crash in the Town of Bridgewater.

According to the Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Office, at about 8:00 p.m. on Monday, 53-year-old Jacqueline Kelly was driving down Stone Road when she drove her car into the oncoming lane and hit another car head on.

Deputies say the driver of the other car, 42-year-old Elizabeth Lesko of Cooperstown, and her 7-year-old daughter were driving home when they were hit.

Kelly continued to drive down the road after the crash until she drove off the road and came to a stop in an embankment.

Lesko and her daughter were treated by members of the Bridgewater Fire Department and released with no injuries.

Deputies say Kelly had to be pulled out of her car and taken to St. Elizabethâ??s Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

After further investigation, deputies arrested Kelly for DWI. Kelly has two prior DWI related offenses.

Kelly is scheduled to appear in the Town of Bridgewater Court at a later date.
