Clinton Square Ice Rink closed by warm weather, rain

No skaters on the Clinton Square ice because of the rain and warm temperatures. Check ahead for the reopening if you plan to go (phone, links in story)

Holiday skating plans 'under the tree' have hit a bump, because of our warm spell, even if it is the first day of winter.

The Clinton Square Ice Rink is closed this Saturday because of the rain and high temperatures in Syracuse.

A rink attendant tells us they have sump pumps working to drain away the water, but tomorrow looks doubtful, as well.

Check ahead if you have skating plans: 423-0129, or the website link at

If the weather cooperates (it's supposed to be colder by Christmas Day) the rink is scheduled to be open every day, including Christmas and New Year's eves and days, though on holiday hours.
