CNY Boat Show offers info on clean & safe boating

Think warm weather sports! The Central New York Boat Show opens on Wednesday at the State Fairgrounds, and besides showing off new and improved models for sale, a whole series of exhibits and talks is planned for current boaters.Dave White, with NY Sea Grant, says emphases this year will be on keeping water clean. He showed us a bilge sock, aimed at soaking oily pollutants out of bilge water, and a ring that goes around a fuel nozzle, to keep splashes or spills from polluting.
