he Beer is flowing at the State Fairgrounds for the 18th annual Central New York Brewfest. Inside the Sate Fair's Exhibit Center, businesses are serving up beers from across Central New York and around the world.
More than 100 beers are being sampled from local places including Middle Agers Brewing Company, Syracuse Suds and Empire Brewing Company. For the brewers, Saturday's event gives them the ability to tap into a new customer base at the fairgrounds.
"We're showing off some of the new beers to people who have always been customers and showing off... Getting new customers who have never had any beers from us before," says Vogelsang.
Brewfest continues until 9 o'clock. Tickets at the door are 40 dollars. If you're planning on going, prepare for traffic. We've heard several reports of traffic jams leading up to the fairgrounds.
