CNY Central honored by NY State Broadcasters Association for â??A Saint for Central New Yorkâ?? and â??At Home with Baby Eastonâ??

The New York State Broadcasters Association is honoring the work of CNYCentral at the 47th Annual Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting dinner in Lake George.
" A Saint for Central New York ," the documentary which chronicled the canonization of Mother Marianne Cope, was honored in the category of Best Public Service Announcement Campaign and Best Documentary Program.
CNYCentral worked cooperatively with WCNY-TV in producing the special. Anchor/producer Matt Mulcahy, producer Jim Aroune, host Liz Ayers, photographer/editor David Fulkerson and photographer/editor Andy Wolf played lead roles in a wide ranging team effort.
â?? At Home with Baby Easton ,â?? a news story that took you inside the Friedel family home in Weedsport to see what it's like to care for a child with a rare and incurable skin disease called Epidermolysis bullosa, was honored in the category of Best Feature News Story. Anchor/producer Michael Benny and photographer/editor Andy Wolf produced the piece.
