CNY students to perform in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Two Central New York high school students will be performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Larry Halsey and Leo Marino are leaving for New York City on Saturday. They are both seniors at Pulaski High School and will be starting rehearsals over the weekend. They will be performing with a band made of up high school students from across the country.

Halsey performed last year as well. He says he was asked by the band director to audition and did it again this year.

"We spend about a week down there and we're with about 200 other kids in the band," Halsey said.

This will be the first year Marino will perform. He admits, "I'm a little nervous but Larry knows what he's doing and he's going to help me out."

The students performed live Thursday morning on Today in Central New York. You can watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC 3.
