When you think barbeque, you probably think of Missouri, Texas, Mississippi, even Tennessee, before you'd think of Central New York. But it turns out our taste buds are in good company.
Syracuse's Dinosaur BBQ makes Forbes' its list of Top 10 BBQ Joints across the United States.
The restaurant, which has recently expanded to Connecticut and New York City, comes in at #8 on Forbes' list.
Forbes praises Dino's "broad, creative menu" and "lively bar scene."
While it says the thick-sliced brisket isn't quite up to par with Texas standards, Forbes was still impressed. It raves about the St. Louis cut pork ribs, saying they're the best of Dinosaur's BBQ meats, but was most impressed with the side and appetizer choices.
Forbes was particularly intrigued with the "standout" smoked chicken wings, fried green tomatoes, and BBQ Fried Rice, which it describes as a "riff on the Chinese version."
