CNYCentral's Chief Meteorologist Wayne Mahar braved the elements Tuesday night to report from within the winter conditions sweeping through Jefferson County and Upstate New York.
Wayne was in Adams, where heavy snow was falling, causing extremely low visibility in the area. The snow was falling at a rate of two inches per hour in some of the more intense bands of Lake Effect. Wayne kept accumulating snow on his hat and heavy coat where the westerly winds were striking him.
Wayne is making his way to Sandy Creek later Tuesday night. Stay tuned for updated reports about the snow in Upstate New York and how it is affecting school and travel plans.
