Coast Guard rescues 6 near Oswego

As warmer weather makes its way in Central New York and boaters hitting the water, the Coast Guard is reminding boaters to take necessary precautions after two separate rescues Saturday morning.

At 7:30am, the Coast Guard in Oswego received a call from a boater with two passengers aboard, saying they were taking in water.

After the rescue, the Coast Guard went directly to another incident where another boat was taking in water near the marina.

The cause of the flooding in both cases is unknown.
