Construction begins for outdoor challenge course at Syracuse University

Construction for an outdoor challenge course at Syracuse University kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning.

The University says the challenge course on South Campus will be available for campus groups, community use, and to help small groups develop teamwork. There will also be an outdoor education center to welcome groups and host workshops.

The challenge course, which is being built by SUâ??s Recreation Services, will consist of a series of high-rope and low-rope elements, a dual zip-line and other elements. Recreation Servicesâ?? outdoor education program will create custom programs to meet the needs of each group.
