Cortland County advises motorists to use caution, avoid flooded roads

Following massive flash flooding that force the evacuation of many residents in Cortland County on Thursday night, the State Department of Transportation is advising residents to use caution when driving as some roads may still have standing water.

A no unnecessary travel for Cortland County was lifted around 8:30 a.m. Friday; however, there may still be standing water on some roads.

The DOT advises motorists not to drive through any water on the roads.
