Cortland County Sheriff's K-9 dies

The Cortland County Sheriff's Department announced the death of it's K-9 'Right.'

Wright was discovered by his handler County Police Officer Jason Kemp on Sunday. The dog was dead in his kennel. Authorities say Right passed away of natural causes.

The dog started his career with the County Sheriff's Department May, 2006. In a news release, the Sheriff's Department said, "Right has been credited with countless drug seizures and searches and will be missed by all the members of the Sheriff's Department and mostly his partner Officer Jason Kemp who was his best friend."

The Department says Right will be missed and vary hard to replace.
