Cribs sold at JC Penney recalled due to entrapment, suffocation hazards
Wed, 27 Mar 2013 15:45:20 GMT —
Tens of thousands of cribs are being recalled because of entrapment and suffocation hazards.
73,000 of the cribs are being recalled because the drop sides can malfunction, detach or fail, causing the drop side to fall out of position.
An infant or toddler could fall out of the crib or get wedged or entrapped.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is aware of three incidents involving the cribs. So far, no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the cribs and contact Modus Furniture International for a free immobilizer kit to correct the problem. You can call (800)-827-2129 with any questions.
