Gov. Andrew Cuomo will head to western New York for the expected announcement of a major development project planned for the shoreline of one of the Finger Lakes.
The governor is scheduled to be in Canandaigua in Ontario County for Tuesday morning's announcement at the Constellation Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center.
The Daily Messenger of Canandaigua reports that an invitation sent out by county officials says the announcement concerns the North Shore project, a $116 million mixed-use development along the northern end of Canandaigua Lake, 25 miles southeast of Rochester.
The project proposes to build apartments, condos and commercial space for shops and restaurants on a 21-acre parcel.
Local officials aren't revealing details of the announcement until the news conference.
