Deputies arrest 3 suspects in Rite Aid robbery
Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies have arrested 3 suspects in a Rite Aid robbery.
Deputies say around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, two women and one man tried to leave the Rite Aid at 7389 Oswego Road in the Town of Clay without paying for boxes of candy, lighters and baby formula.
According to deputies, a Rite Aid Loss Prevention Officer confronted the three suspects, but one of the woman threatened to stab the officer. Deputies say no knife was ever shown.
Deputies say the suspects then got in a car and drove away, but were quickly spotted by a sheriff's deputy. The three suspects were then arrested.
Chelsea Williams, 43, of Syracuse is charged with robbery. She is also accused of threatening to stab the Loss Prevention Officer.
Donna Finch, 57, of Syracuse is charged with robbery, aggravated unlicensed operator, open container and obstructed view. She was the one driving the car when a deputy arrested them.
George Washington Jr. of Syracuse was arrested for robbery.
Deputies say there were no reports of injuries during the incident and no knife was ever found.
