Deputies identify victim in the death of Cortland County two-year-old

Two-year-old Kassidy Dains lived on Elm Street with her mother and defendant, deputies said.

The Cortland County Sheriff's office has identified the two-year-old girl that died in Cortland County Thursday night.

Dorain Bohn, 29, was arraigned Friday on charges of criminal negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child, according to officials.

Court documents say the suspect was drinking at the time of the incident and had three "little airplane bottles" of Pinnacle vodka.

In the statement, Bohn gave to deputies. He said he was at his girlfriend's home in McGraw, watching the girl when he heard a thud from her bedroom.

Court documents say the Dains suffered a head injury after falling from a distance of at least five feet.
