Former Clayton mayor, 78, accused of engaging in sex acts with 14-year-old
WATERTOWN, N.Y. —
A Jefferson County man is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old victim over the course of three years, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say 78-year-old Dale Kenyon, of Clayton, has been indicted on 22 counts of third-degree Criminal Sexual Act for the alleged abuse.
Kenyon is accused of engaging in sex acts with a 14-year-old in 2009 and continuing through 2012, according to the Sheriff's Office.
WWNY in Watertown reports Kenyon is a former mayor of the village of Clayton.
Kenyon was arraigned Thursday and sent to the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond.
