A Cortland County man is in jail after the Onondaga County Sheriff says he had inappropriate contact with a girl under the age of 17 and deputies say there could be more victims.
John B. Webb, 64, of Homer is charged with sexual abuse, sodomy, and incest. He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies say the investigation first started when the victim reported the abuse to school officials, who then contacted Onondaga Child Protective Services. Deputies say Protective Services brought the report to detectives with the Abused Persons Unit.
According to deputies, the victim knew Webb. Deputies believe there is more than one victim and encourage other victims to contact the Abused Persons Unit at 435-3092.
Webb is currently remanded to the Justice Center and his bail is set at $100,000. He is due back in the Village of Fabius Court on October 24th.
