Victim of fatal hit-and-run between bicycle and dirt bike identified
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
Syracuse Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash between a dirt bike and a bicycle.
Police say it happened Tuesday at about 9:20 p.m. in the area of Tallman Street and South Salina Street. Responding officers found a bicyclist that was unconscious and had suffered multiple injuries.
The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he died from his injuries. Police have identified him as a 24-year-old Ervin Royall of Syracuse.
The rider of the dirt bike that was involved in the crash left the dirt bike at the scene and fled, according to police. Police said the rider of the dirt bike "should have substantial injuries."
