Real estate mogul, businessman, and potential New York State Governor candidate Donald Trump will stop in Syracuse in two weeks to help raise money for the Onondaga County Republican Committee.
Trump will be the special guest at the Executive Leadership Reception at the Doubletree by Hilton Syracuse Tuesday evening, March 11.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the hotel and conference center on Route 298 in East Syracuse.
Tom Dadey, Onondaga County Republican Committee Chairman and New York State Republican Committee First Vice Chairman, says he's excited for the visit, and is confident Trump will seek and accept the nomination of the Republican Party to run for governor.
"Donald Trump is an entrepreneur, business leader and television personality - the three qualities needed to beat Andrew Cuomo in November but more importantly they are needed to turn around New York State," Dadey said in a news release to CNYCentral.
Tickets, which are $100 per person, $175 per couple, and $75 for members of the County Committee, may be purchased online. You may also mail a check to the Onondaga County Republican Committee (OCRC) at 321 West Onondaga Street, Syracuse, NY 13202, or call the organization at (315) 471-2020. For $500 per couple, there will also be a VIP Reception with an opportunity for photos at 5:30 p.m. .
Westchester County Executive Republican Rob Astorino is expected to announce whether or not he is running for governor by the end of this month.
According to recent polls, Astorino or Trump would face an uphill race against Governor Andrew Cuomo.
