Donald Trump won't run for Governor of New York

Donald Trump, just days after visiting Central New York to rally local Republicans, said via Twitter Friday evening that he won't run for Governor of New York. "While I won't be running for Governor of New York State, a race I would have won, I have much bigger plans in mind- stay tuned, will happen!" Trump announced in a tweet.

Trump was in East Syracuse for a GOP fundraiser this week. During his visit, he told the crowd that Upstate New York has been abandoned.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino was in Central New York recently as well. Click here for that story.
