Double shooting leaves one dead, one injured

UPDATE: Syracuse police are asking for the public's help tonight after a double shooting left one man dead and one man in critical condition.

Police have identified the man who died as 25-year-old Luis Osario Quinonez. The other man is a 25-year-old and is currently in critical condition at University Hospital. His name is not being released.

Syracuse police are investigating a double shooting in the city that has left one man dead and another in critical condition.

Police say it happened around 1:45 this morning at the gas station on the corner of South Geddes Street and Shonnard Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they say they found a 25-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. That man died a short time later at University Hospital.

While officers were on the scene with the first victim, police say a second shooting victim showed up at University Hospital in a private vehicle, after reportedly being shot at the same location.

That man is currently listed in critical condition at University Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say they are still trying to figure what led up to the shootings. Anyone with any information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
