Dozens of tires slashed on cars in Syracuse neighborhood

Syracuse police are looking for whoever is responsible for slashing tires on the north side of the city overnight.

"We are investigating a rash of criminal mischief to vehicles," Sgt. Tom Connellan said.

At least 16 cars had one or more tires slashed. The cars were parked on Sedgwick Street, Mariposa Street, Robinson Street and Boyden Street.

"This morning my wife and I and our kids were heading to school and other appointments and unfortunately we came out and saw this and now we are having to make adjustments," said Rashee White, one of the neighbors whose tires were slashed.

Anyone with information should call police at 442-5222.
