Dredging in Onondaga Lake expected to resume on Monday

Dredging in Onondaga Lake will start back up on Monday, April 7 if the weather permits. This will be the third year of dredging and taking out contaminated sediments in the lake.

Preparation work is currently underway and all the necessary machinery, including continued odor reduction measures, is expected to be ready by Monday.

State officials say its possible the remaining dredging could be completed sometime this year.
