      Driver hits deer, car flips in Town of Floyd

      A driver heading westbound on Route 49 in the Town of Floyd hit a deer causing the car to flip.

      According to the Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Department, around 12:44 a.m. Friday, Steven Cologero, 40, of Utica was driving down Route 49 with three passengers when a deer ran into the road.

      Deputies say Cologero hit the deer and then lost control of his car, hitting a ditch which caused the car to flip over and land upside down.

      Everyone inside the car was wearing their seatbelts.

      No injuries were reported and no tickets were issued.
