A five-month investigation leads to thousands of dollars and pounds of marijuana being seized by police in Tompkins County.
Police from different agencies, including State Police and Ithaca Police, executed search warrants at five different locations in Ithaca and Lansing. Police say they seized about 21 pound of marijuana, 30 marijuana plants, $33,000 in cash as well as other drugs weapons and cars.
In connection with evidence collected, police arrested Christopher Herson, 31, of Lansing, Aaron Georgia, 25, of Ithaca and Shayaa Rodriguez, 18, of Lansing.
Herson was charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Georgia was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Rodriguez was charged with unlawful growing of marijuana. Herson and Georgia were arraigned in Ithaca city court and taken to the county jail in lieu of 10-thousand dollars cash, 20-thousand dollars bond. Rodriguez was released on an appearance ticket.
The investigation is ongoing and police say more charged and arrests are expected.
