Dunkin Donuts employee sprayed in the face with capsaicin after argument

An argument at the Dunkin' Donuts on Teall Ave. in Syracuse between two employees Sunday afternoon led to one of them being sprayed in the face with capsaicin, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.

Capsaicin is an aerosol spray that temporarily irritates the eyes and mucous membranes, Sgt. Jon Seeber said.

Deputies said they are currently attempting to locate the employee who sprayed the other employee, and then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital for an evaluation, according to the Sheriff's Office.

No customers were contaminated or affected.
