The latest act announced to take Chevy Court this summer is one of country music's most popular bands on the radio today.
The Eli Young Band will perform Thursday, August 28th at 8 p.m.
Their hit single "Drunk Last Night" from their third album recently climbed to Number 1 on the country charts - it's getting air play right now across Central New York.
The band burst onto the country music scene with their 2008 major-label debut album.
The next album from the Eli Young Band produced two Number 1 songs, including "Even if it Breaks Your Heart," which won "song of the Year" from the Academy of Country Music.
The band started as a duo. Mike Eli and James Young were college roommates who would play acoustic shows together. Eventually, they turned their duo into a full band.
Their Chevy Court performance will follow an afternoon set from up-and-coming country artist, Angie Johnson.
You may recognize her from NBC's hit show, "The Voice." Johnson was part of Cee Lo Green's team on the second season.
Johnson is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. As a Tech Sergeant in the Air National Guard, she remains attached to the military.
She's set to perform at 2 p.m. August 28 at Chevy Court, the Fair's annual Veterans Day.
As with all Chevy Court performances, both concerts are free with a day's admission to the fair.
