Extra security measures in place for J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

Morgan Corporate Challenge at Onondaga Lake Park and security measures have been tightened.Race organizers say all participants are asked not to bring any large bags to the area around the race.More than 7,600 runners are registered from 297 Syracuse area companies. Race organizers recommend that runners and spectators use free shuttle buses from Destiny USA to get to and from the park.Onondaga Lake Parkway will be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Last year, the race was but shortened for the first time, from a 3.5-mile road race to a 2-mile "fun run," because of the heat and humidity.
