Fall Out Boy to perform at 2013 State Fairâ??s Grandstand

The Great New York State Fair has announced another act in its Grandstand lineup. The Fair took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to announce a performance from popular rock band Fall Out Boy.

The band, which just returned from a three-year hiatus in February, will take the Grandstand stage on Friday August 30th at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets go on sale next Friday at 9:00 a.m. through the fair's online ticket retailer E-Tix. Tickets are $25, $35 and $45.

Fall Out Boy emerged on the music scene in the early 2000's with "Grand Theft Autum/Where is Your Boy," and rose to fame on the pop charts a few years later, with "Sugar We're Going Down."

Their current hit, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" from the album, "Save Rock and Roll," is drumming up a lot of play on local radio stations.

The grandstand show starts at 8 p.m. An opening act will be announced at a later date.

In a Twitter conversation, a fan asked the fair whether there would be more grandstand acts to look forward to. The Fair said more announcements are expected soon.

The State Fair previously announced six performances for the Grandstand concert series, which include Luke Bryan, Jeff Dunham, Toby Keith, Reba, Carly Rae Jepsen and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The New York State Fair runs from August 22 â?? September 2, 2013. The Fairâ??s theme is â??Sharing the Bounty and Pride of New York.â??
