B randy Dallas was in everyone's thoughts at Ref's Bar and Grille in Solvay , where dozens came out to help her family in the wake of her death. Brandy was stabbed to death by her estranged husband. Her 8 and 3 year old boys are now without their mother.
Brandy's Mom says she and the other family members will now be taking care of Brandy's boys. The need help with the unexpected expense. A portion of the money raised at Ref's will help pay for everything from sneakers to snacks to school supplies.
"if there's an angel in your life that you walked with, she was my angel and she walked with us for too little time. She had so many good years ahead of her," says Jones. "You have to live life to the fullest because we never know when it's gonna end. I never in my wildest dreams expected to lose my daughter and I just want to see justice done for her."
After seeing many of Brandy's friends and family come out to raise money for her. Brandy's mom wants everyone to take a message home with them once they leave this sports bar here in Solvay.
"This effects all of us because domestic violence is not going to stop unless they do something about strengthening the laws and keeping these guys locked up at least long enough for the spouse to get out and find some place that's safe," says Jones.
Some of the money raised at the benefit will also help to pay for Brandy's funeral, as family and friends get ready to pay their last respects to Brandy.
Anyone who was unable to make it to today's fundraiser will be bale to come at 2 o'clock this upcoming Thursday to the Van Dyne Home and Hospital Chapel in Syracuse to remember Brandy one more time.
