Father, mother and son charged in December armed robbery in Hartwick

A father, mother and son were arrested in Florida after an investigation into an armed robbery in the Town of Hartwick in December.

Investigators say the Pit Stop convenience store was robbed on December 23 at about 9:25 pm. A clerk told officers he had been robbed at gunpoint by two masked men who stole money and ran.

The investigation led to the Lord family, who had left New York for Florida shortly after the incident.

43-year-old Christine J. Lord, 45-year-old Timothy S. Lord and 21-year-old Kaine W. Lord were arrested in Deltona, Florida and charged with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, grand larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Investigators searched the Lordâ??s Deltona home and found evidence related to the Pit Stop robbery. Authorities in New York also searched the familyâ??s former home in Hartwick and found a quantity of marijuana and more evidence related to the armed robbery.

The family was extradited back to New York from Florida and is being held on $100,000 bail.

If convicted, they could face 25 years in prison.
