A federal fugitive was captured in Ithaca after a brief confrontation with police Thursday night.
Ithaca Police were called to a car crash at 1008 West Seneca Street at about 7:45 pm. When they arrived on the scene, officers recognized 50-year-old Kenneth Clee, who was wanted by the U.S. Marshalâ??s Office. He was wanted for several violations of public parole.
Clee noticed the officers and ran into a nearby home.
Police set up a perimeter and surrounded the house. Police then used the public address system of a patrol vehicle to talk to Clee.
Clee came out of the house a short time later and was taken into custody.
Clee is being held without bail in the Tomkins County Jail.
