This is the final week to register for Christmas Bureau Distribution. The Salvation Army and dozens of volunteers will be at the OnCenter all week to sign up families who qualify. Free flu vaccines will also be provided.
The Salvation Army and its Christmas Bureau Partners team up with thousands of volunteers each year to bring Christmas to low-income families. This year, Distribution Day will be held on December 21 from 10am to 7pm at the OnCenter. Approximately 3,000 families and 8,000 children are expected to participate.
Eligible low-income families receive a book, a toy and a stocking stuffer for each child in their family. In addition, each family receives a holiday food basket that contains a turkey and all the fixings for a holiday dinner along with extra food to help feed their children during the school break.

Over the last 5 years, more than 14,000 families and 35,000 children have been served on Distribution Day.
