Fire alarm clears Disney show at Syracuse War Memorial

The Disney on Ice production at the Syracuse War Memorial was stopped by a fire alarm Friday evening. People who were in the audience say the show was stopped for 20 minutes, and the people inside were forced to evacuate. That sent hundreds of adults and small children out into the cold. The temperature in Syracuse at 8:00 p.m. Friday was 5 degrees.

The Disney on Ice show resumed after it was determined there was no trouble, according to people who were evacuated from the facility. There is no offical word from the OnCenter about why the alarm went off. People who were evacuated have told CNYCentral that staff at the War Memorial told them burned popcorn was the cause of the alarm. There are no reports of anyone being hurt.
