      THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A

      * SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR... JEFFERSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK...

      * UNTIL NOON EDT

      * AT 923 AM EDT ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS NORTHERN PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY. THE BAND OF HEAVIEST RAIN WAS LOCATED NEAR CLAYTON...LA FARGEVILLE... THERESA... OR JUST SOUTH OF ALEXANDRIA BAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND QUICK RISES IN SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS. CREEKS CAN CONTINUE TO RISE EVEN AFTER THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS FALLEN.
