There are squalls around the Route 104 corridor and points north. Between 4 AM and 7 PM Wednesday, most of these areas will see an additional 6 to 12 inches of new snow but rural areas, such as the Tug Hill plateau, are seeing heavier squalls. A few isolated Tug Hill areas are expected to have the best chance for 12 inches or more.

Outside the Lake Ontario snow bands, expect a combination of clouds and sunshine today with passing flurries or light snow showers.

Whatever your exact weather forecast is today, be cautious on untreated driveways, parking lots and roads as leftover moisture from Tuesday has iced up.
