Former Manlius Court Clerk pleads guilty to stealing nearly $200,000 from town

A LaFayette woman pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $200,000 from the Town of Manlius.

46-year-old Kimberly Amidon, the former Manlius Court Clerk, is charged with grand larceny and tax evasion.

She admitted to stealing $198,000 in bail money from the Town of Manlius in 2011 and 2012. Amidon was arrested in March 2013.

Amidon now faces 2 and a third to seven years in prison if she pays the money back, but four to 12 years if she does not.

She has until September 22 to pay the money back.
