Former 'Wife Swap' pageant princess faces prostitution and drug charges

The former teen pageant princess who appeared on the reality show "Wife Swap" is due in a western New York court to face prostitution and drug possession charges.

Alicia Guastaferro is expected to plead not guilty to the charges in Pembroke Town Court on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Guastaferro was arrested at a New York Thruway travel plaza in August. Court documents say she told state troopers the Rochester attorney she was with, James Doyle, paid her as much as $700 twice a month to spend the night and have sex.

Doyle also faces charges. He denies the allegations.

Guastaferro and ABC settled a lawsuit last year over the "Wife Swap" episode. She claimed its unfair portrayal of a spoiled 15-year-old made her a target of ridicule.
