Four people arrested after deputies find marijuana plants in an Oswego County barn

Four people are charged with criminal possession of marijuana in Oswego County.

Deputies say a complaint of trespass in the Village of Mexico led them to find marijuana plants in a barn on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies arrested 20-year-old Daniel R. Forth of Central Square, 17-year-old Nicholas L. McCarty of Mexico, and two 16-year-olds from Mexico and Fulton. They are each charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

Forth was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Mexico Court on October 29.

McCarty and the two 16-year-olds were arraigned in the Town of Hastings Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail.

McCartyâ??s bail was set at $2,500 cash, one of the 16-year-old had bail set at $1,000/$2,000 and the other was set at $1,000 cash, all returnable to the Town of Hastings Court on October 16.
