Four shootings in five hours in Syracuse

Syracuse Police Tuesday night have four active shooting investigations. Detectives have been working non-stop on these cases since the first shots were fired at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. In the most serious case, a 42 year-old man is undergoing emergency surgery. All are still under investigation.
Here is a rundown of the shooting incidents, from city police:
The first shooting occurred 2:30pm this afternoon at Oakwood Ave and Raynor Ave. The victim, Stacey Cheek, age 24 of Syracuse,N.Y. was in a vehicle at that location when a grey van shot at his car. The rear window of the victim's vehicle was shot out and the mirror was broken off. The victim was driven to Crouse Hospital with lacerations from the glass breaking and striking him. The victim did not get hit by gunfire and his injuries are non life threatening. This shooting is under investigation.
The second shooting occurred at 7:30pm at W. Kennedy Ave and Midland Ave. The victim, Mario Leslie, age 20 of Syracuse, NY walked into Crouse Hospital with a gunshot wound to his ankle. He reported that he was walking down Midland Ave near Kennedy Ave when he heard gun shots and then he was hit in the ankle. His injuries are non life threatening. Leslie was unable to provide any suspect information. This shooting is under investigation.
The third incident is a shots fired in which no victim's were located. This shots fired occurred at 7:35pm in front of 541 Gifford Street. 911 received several calls for shots fired. When officers arrived they located numerous shell casings in the street. The suspects were described by witnesses as four hispanic males in a small red vehicle. This incident is under investigation.
The fourth shooting occurred at 7:39 pm at 412 Oakwood Ave. The victim, John Moore, age 42 of Syracuse, N.Y. reported that two males knocked at his door and attacked him when he opened the door. A struggle ensued between Moore and the two suspects. One of the suspects had a black handgun and shot the victim. The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital in serious condition. He has been rushed to emergency surgery. Suspect #1 is described as a black male wearing black clothing. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6'0", thin build, last seen wearing dark green jeans and a green/white striped shirt. The suspects fled on foot. This shooting is under investigation.
