Four suspects rob delivery driver of food and cash on Park Street

A delivery driver was robbed as he tried to deliver food to a residence on Park Street in Syracuse.

Police say they were called to Dullyâ??s Market around 1:00 a.m. Monday morning where they spoke with a 24-year-old male delivery driver.

The driver told police he was robbed while making a food delivery at a residence in the 1200 block of Park Street.

The driver said he got out of his vehicle and was approaching the residence when he encountered four black males, who appeared to be in their 20s.

The driver said a struggle ensued and one male showed a handgun.

The suspects stole the food and an undisclosed amount of cash from the driver.

The driver fled the scene in his vehicle. He told police he believes he heard gun shots as he drove off.

The driver was struck in the face during the struggle, but did not seek medical attention.

Syracuse Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 442-5222.
