Four vehicle involved in chain reaction crash in Liverpool
Tue, 19 Mar 2013 23:19:46 GMT — Four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction crash on Soule Road in Liverpool just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Department says an SUV, operated by 30-year-old Heather Watkins of North Syracuse, was traveling west on Soule Road. Watkins failed to notice that traffic was stopped and rear ended an SUV in front of her, operated by 57-year-old Laurie Burns of Oswego. Watkinsâ?? 7-year-old son was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Burns and passenger Donald Miller, 60, were both taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor injuries Burnsâ?? vehicle rear ended a third vehicle, a car operated by 21-year-old Lola May Wight of Liverpool. Wight was taken to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries. A passenger in Wightâ??s car, 27-year-old Richard Conklin, was uninjured. Wightâ??s vehicle rear ended a fourth vehicle, a car operated by 57-year-old John Manly of Liverpool, which was stopped to make a left turn. Manly was not injured. Deputies say Watkins was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, unlicensed operation of a Motor vehicle and following too close.
