Four women stabbed during fight in Ithaca
Four women are recovering after being stabbed during a late-night fight in Ithaca.
The Ithaca police department says it responded to the 600 block of Chestnut Street at 8:51 p.m. Thursday night after reports of a large fight. When officers arrived, they found a woman with a stab wound to the neck area.
Officers also found three other woman with various stab wounds. All four victims were transported to the hospital.
As of 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, three of the four victims were transferred to a regional trauma center. The 4th victim has been treated and released from the hospital.
Officials say although the stab wounds are serious, they do not appear to be life threatening. Police say they took several subjects into custody. The investigation continues.
