Four years since Syracuseâ??s six overtime game against UConn

Four years ago on March 12, the Syracuse University menâ??s basketball team defeated the University of Connecticut in the now famous six overtime game in the Big East quarterfinals.

No. 20 Syracuse defeated No. 4 Connecticut 127-117 in what is remembered as one of the greatest moments in the Big East.

With about one second left in the second half, Connecticut scored to tie Syracuse at 71. Eric Devendorf launched a 3-point shot just as the shot clock sounded.

Referees reviewed the play and determined the shot left his fingertips after time had expired.

Six overtimes later, Syracuse finally took the lead, and the win.

The game lasted 3 hours and 46 minutes, or 70 minutes of game play, ending around 1:22 a.m., according to ESPN.
