      Free classes for family caregivers

Onondaga County's Institute for Caregivers offers free courses to ease the aging process.

A catalog full of free classes is available to help Onondaga County residents ease into 'older years', or to help make caregiving a bit easier.

Office for Aging Executive Director Lisa Alford says the offerings are as short as an hour and a half primer on Medicaid and Medicare services (Thursday, 5/15 2pm), to 5 week long classes on health eating (Tuesdays 4/29 - 5/27)

The class catalog is available at several locations, including senior care programs. It is also available online through the www.ongov.net website (click, then click on aging under Departments, then Institute for Caregivers class schedule
